A combined General & Sales Management role with full P & L responsibility for running the UK Sales & Service office of a European manufacturer of food processing machinery AND managing & supporting the companies field sales team in the field. This role would suit an experienced General Manager with a sales background or an ambitious Sales Manager / Sales Director looking to step up to running a company.
 
BASIC SALARY: £75,000

LOCATION: Covering the UK & Ireland, home based and ideally living in central England. You will need to be in the office once or twice a week & out selling to clients 3 days a week.
 
COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Milton Keynes, Northampton, Oxford, Cambridge, Leicester, Peterborough, Coventry, Birmingham.

You will be taking over a successful & well run company from the current incumbent who is retiring later this year.
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: General Manager, Sales Manager, Sales Director : food process machinery, packaging machinery
 
· You MUST have a proven track record as a General Manager with a sales background OR as an ambitious Sales Manager / Sales Director looking to step up to running a company.
· You MUST have managed a field sales team and be actively involved in sales.
· You MUST have experience selling & managing in the food processing &/or packaging machinery sector.
· Specific experience of the Bakery market would be advantageous.
· Any relevant Bakery, Engineering &/or Business qualifications would also be advantageous.
· Speaking German would also be a bonus.
