Coeliac UK currently has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Development Officer to join them based in High Wycombe. You will join us on a permanent, part time basis working 24.5hrs per week. In return you will receive a competitive salary of circa £17,200 per annum (£24,500 pro rata) plus 36 days holiday a year including bank holidays.
The Commercial Development Officer role:
The Commercial Development Officer will be integral to the growth and development of commercial activities for Coeliac UK. This includes improvements to our existing processes and systems to support current and new commercial partners and working to identify and grow new partnerships in the UK and beyond as well as supporting development of new opportunities and products from Coeliac UK suitable for the gluten free sector.
Key responsibilities of the Commercial Development Officer:
To support the Head of Commercial Development and Director of Commercial Services with all aspects of commercial development within the charity.
Be responsible for production and maintenance of project documents monitoring the progress of commercial development projects liaising with Commercial team and other Coeliac UK teams
Be responsible for Commercial team processes and manuals
Support development of new processes and systems to underpin improvements to our commercial activities
Be responsible for ensuring Commercial team CRM dashboards are up to date
Support Quality Assurance activity of our existing product portfolio working closely with Head of Commercial Development.
Contribute to the development of new opportunities/products that could be of interest to commercial partners.
Support and contribute to development of other commercial relationships in the UK and beyond
Assist with conducting market research with the Coeliac UK membership/wider gluten free community including data analysis and presentation of analysis.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience required for the Commercial Development Officer:
Logical thinker able to understand and interpret business functions, linking processes and systems at operational level.
Project management skills with ability to work on multiple projects
Analytical skills and responsive to data and applying its learnings
Excellent IT skills – experience with MS Office (Word – intermediate; Excel intermediate/advanced) CRM systems, email marketing systems, project management tools and content management systems
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work on own initiative
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills for internal and external audiences
Excellent communication skills – oral and written, confident telephone manner
Results driven
Team player with practical, positive and flexible attitude
Keep up to date with current thinking within Coeliac UK as well as having some interest in the food sector in the UK and internationally.
