Area Manager

£40,000 + Car / Allowance

Milton Keynes

Mainstay are working with a leading FM service provider who are looking for a Area Manager to lead a team of cleaning operatives spread across a few sites in the south.

Our client has seen massive growth over the last few years and aims to deliver high standards across all of their contracts. They are passionate about their people and put them at the heart of everything they do by investing in training and development.

Role :

* As the Area Manager you will be in charge of a few contracts spread across Milton Keynes and a few other locations in the south

* Managing the day to day operations across all the sites, through performance reviews and meetings

* Dealing with holiday and sickness along with staff appraisals

* Managing a team of Cleaning staff through supervisory teams

* Dealing with the client on a regular basis and keeping them in the loop through one to one meetings and teams calls

* You will be managing the commercials on the contract looking after a Profit and loss of around 1-2 million

* Along with managing the operational side you will be eager to grow the contract and spot new opportunities for revenue

* Managing the KPI’s and SLA’s on the contract ensuring that high standards are consistently delivered

Candidate :

* Previous experience within a similar role essential ideally working for a FM service provider with a strong grasp of outsourcing

* Cleaning background along with a strong knowledge of Food contracts

* Relevant soft services qualifications, BIFM, IOSH and NEBOSH

* Strong commercial acumen

* Must be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills with a ‘lead from the front’ attitude

* Must be willing to travel across sites and hold a full UK drivers licence

* Personable and approachable

* Solutions orientated with good organisation skills
