Legal 200 law firm in Buckinghamshire seeks a Construction Solicitor on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the head of department, the successful solicitor will join a specialist team located in Milton Keynes and utilise their skills and expertise to manage a busy caseload of mainly non-contentious matters, with some aspects of contentious work as required. Additionally, the successful applicant will play a key role in marketing and develop strong contacts with the firm.

Contentious and non-contentious matters
Drafting building contracts
Legal issues arising from construction processes
Procurement arrangements
Loss and expense claims
Construction aspects of development
Defective work
Payment disputes
Building client relationships
The Candidate

A qualified solicitor with a minimum of 4 years’ PQE in construction law
Technically proficient and commercially aware
Demonstrates exceptional communication and client care skills
Possesses a consistently strong academic record
Previous experience acting for developers and funders is advantageous
Works well as part of a team as well as on their own initiative
Has an aptitude for marketing and business development
