Douglas Scott Legal Recruitment have exclusively partnered with an internationally recognised name who are looking to expand their current in-house team with the addition of another Commercial Solicitor

This is a newly created opportunity owing to an internal promotion within the team. You will work closely with another experienced Commercial Solicitor advising on a wide range of commercial agreements. Ably supported by a team of paralegals, the role also includes risk mitigation, project work, and the solving complex issues which hinder business strategy.

You will be joining an illustrious and well established business, offering you exposure to a wide variety of legal and projects work, working for a leading name in the sector.

As part of the central Legal function, your duties will include drafting and negotiation of a wide spectrum of commercial agreements and contracts – from collaboration agreements to non-disclosure agreements and everything in between. Additionally, the team handles all Data Protection, IP and IT matters for the business, so software agreements, GDPR and Trademark/Branding work all form part of the role.

Ideally you will have at least 2 years PQE as a Commercial Solicitor in either and in-house or Private Practice, be able to display an excellent knowledge of contract law, and have some exposure to IP and Data Protection work in your career to date.
