Wintel Engineer – Band 8A

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Wintel Engineer who is confident to lead on individual work packages, including DHCP Scope migrations, analyse existing infrastructure services and report back to the Solution Architects.

We have a wide-ranging programme of work underway and are starting the next phase of delivery to migrate into our new IaaS platform. The work will be varied and at times challenging so a drive to succeed will be needed along with attention to detail. Your technical expertise will be needed to prepare over 200 servers for migration in agreement with the Programme team so experience in migrations is desirable.

Location: Working from home

Temporary: Expected to last for until the end of December 2021
Pay Rate: Up to £26.50 PAYE Inclusive or £31 Umbrella depending on experience
Full Time: Mon to Fri, 37.5 hours per week. (9am to 5pm or 8am to 4pm)

Main Duties/ Responsibilities:

Key Experience and Skills:

* 3+ years’ experience in Wintel technical work

* Positive approach to team success

* Willingness to learn and share knowledge.

* Experience working in multidata centre environments – Desirable

* Support P2V, V2V migrations

* New provisioning of servers from template and to specifications in Low level designs.

* Sites and Services

* DHCP

* DNS

* User migrations

* Data migrations

* General troubleshooting

* Scripting skills (desirable)
