Unix Support Engineer – Unix, AIX – Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, commutable from Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire – £40,000 – £45,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Bens

My client is seeking to recruit a Unix Support Engineer to provide 2nd and 3rd line support on Unix systems, AIX, virtualisation and high availability solutions.

Key Skills:

2nd and 3rd line experience within a Unix AIX environment. Versions AIX 6 or 7.
An understanding or experience with Linux (RedHat).
Experience of, or in, a High Availability environment.
Experience or knowledge of VIOS (Virtual I/O Server)

Desirable:

Linux RedHat system administration OR LPIC-2 (Centos, Ubuntu, SUSE).
Power Linux
Automation (Ansible)
Shell Scripting
LPAR / HMC
EMC Networker or TSM
Disaster Recovery experience
