Technical Support Team Leader
The Company
A Managed Services Provider that provide Azure Virtual Desktop and Microsoft 365 solutions to small and medium sized businesses as well as technical support for on-site servers, workstations, networking, hosted telephony and anti-virus.
The Role
You will be leading a small team and acting as the escalation point for your team. There will be responsibility for maintaining and developing the relationship with the base of around 100 customers and bringing new customers on board by creating and implementing technical solutions.
You will be expected to assist with solving problems outside of your direct area, so an open mind to helping out with everything from basic PC and networking problems will be needed.
You’ll be structured in your approach, understand the importance of documentation, have impressive technical skills and be able to inspire and lead a small team. You’ll need to be adaptable, efficient, open-minded and have an enthusiasm for problem solving.
Required Skills
You will need strong technical skills, encompassing the following, which are listed in order of priority:
* Microsoft 365
* Windows / Mac desktop
* Azure / Azure Virtual Desktop
* Networking, broadband and firewall
* Windows Server Management, Active Directory, database management, group policy, security, user and group management
* VoIP Telephony
* RDS / Terminal Services
* Anti-virus
* PowerShell
Part of the role is to contribute to company processes and procedures, and the intention is to develop this role into a management position. This really is a great opportunity for the right person to get involved. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience in Azure, virtual servers, hosting and Microsoft 365 as well as team leading and management.
Please note that prior team leadership experience is not required.
The role is office based in Marlow, with customer visits required when problems cannot be solved remotely.
