Project Manager
Remote and field based
Our client who specialises electronic key and locker management solutions is keen to recruit a field-based Project Manager to support and train their clients in their bespoke product range. Their clients range from Government, MOD, Prisons, Education, Fleet and Distribution Centres.
The main role of the Project Manager is to oversee delivery of a project from point of sale through to delivery, installation, commissioning, testing and customer training, along with any ongoing account support. You will act as the main point of contact from point of sale with the end user to ensure complete delivery of the bespoke solution.
Tasks
* Travel to customer sites which are countrywide to deliver assigned projects in accordance with company quality procedures.
* Ensure that systems are installed and tested in accordance with company instructions, requirements, and guidance.
* Complete technical report forms and other relevant documentation after each visit and pass to Technical Support team. Feedback of any issues to production/R&D departments.
* Work together with the Management team to suggest improvements across the business, including H&S and technical concerns via regular meetings.
* Visiting customer sites around the UK is an integral part of this role to attend meetings, site visits, oversee installation and training.
* Install equipment into the customer site based on ‘best practice’ methods employed by UK Engineering team.
* Installation of client software onto customer IT infrastructure to ensure online communication from systems installed.
* Check all orders and build sheets are correct in line with customer expectations and work cross teams to make necessary adjustments.
* Organise project planning meetings internally to ensure that any technical developments required to the system are understood and actioned within agreed timeframes.
* Provide all project pre-work documentation to technical office at least 48 hours before site visit
* To maintain contact with the customer on a regular ‘follow up basis’s’ using opportunities to inform the customer of product developments and refer to Sales team if customers are interested in additions.
* Where installation require a second person for assistance, liaise with Technical Support Scheduling to arrange.
