Technical Product Manager – Circa £55K – Hybrid Working/Milton Keynes – Engagement Solution Brand
Robert Walters is working in partnership with a leading engagement brand looking to appoint a Technical Product Manager to the senior team within its IT function.
Objectives of Role:
This role is based in the Business System Analyst Team, part of the Technology Services Group, to provide a link between the Client Services Team and the Development team. This is achieved through:
Ownership of all technical deliverables required on an assigned project.
Interpreting project requirements and produce working documentation in order to achieve the business objectives within the budget and schedule of the programme.
Ensuring input from internal resource departments on project plans.
Assisting CST in the execution of a project plan.
Liaising with project coordinators in scheduling and allocation of specialist resources for projects.
Configuring existing client platforms to support tactical programme activity.
Deliver projects on time and without surprises, minimising the level of change or rework required.
Responsibilities:
To include, but not be limited to, the following:
Interpreting project requirements, producing required meaningful documentation to provide work instruction to specialist resources. Documentation should be done to a high standard to ensure smooth and successful operation following launch.
Arrange and facilitate project kick-off meetings with the entire project team – these are to include programme business objectives as well as project requirements.
Work with CST and appropriate specialist departments to improve the systems and processes relating to the implementation of client requirements.
To proactively gather feedback on client projects, taking responsibility for internal communication of progress.
Ensure project and schedule updates are received and proactively provided to CST throughout implementation.
Manage scope and impact of changes to project, estimating effect on both schedule and budget and provide to CST.
Ensure quality assurance testing is planned and completed, ensuring that the solution is delivered to a high level of quality.
Coordinate the configuration needed with DST for clients' performance improvement programmes.
To attend client meetings as required with CST to understand requirements and/or for regular updates.
To carry out necessary handover and review activities with CST.
Provide technical support to CST when any technical or development issues or enquiries arise.
Continuous measurement and provide feedback for improvement of practices around project.
Follow SSDLC and departmental processes to deliver projects.
Person Specification
The experience, skills, and personal attributes required of the job holder include, but are not limited to:
Experience of working with systems/software to deliver projects/programmes for clients (internal or external).
Project management experience, including responsibility for meeting deadlines, reporting on progress, working in virtual teams.
Understanding of business analysis methods.
Passion for quality and detail.
Enjoys problem-solving.
Logical and analytical approach.
Good interpersonal skills, able to build positive relationships at all levels and with all types of people.
Ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
In-depth knowledge (and able to demonstrate expertise in use) of software/systems/databases/websites
