Our market-leading client is looking to secure the services of a Systems Administrator 24/7 to join their team based in Milton Keynes on a permanent basis. Working in our Systems & Development Team you will be involved in designing and deploying new services as well as maintaining, patching and upgrading existing ones.
The key role is to migrate existing systems and maintain new systems as Infrastructure as Code to standardise our deployments as well as provide a reliable means to re-deploy or roll back changes.
The successful applicant will be working in a small team, using the latest technologies and innovations in AWS as well as commercial software such as Splunk, Salesforce & various GIS systems.
Key responsibilities of a Systems Administrator 24/7 will include:
* Over 3 years’ Systems Administration experience with proven experience in deploying operating systems and supporting applications on Linux (Redhat, CentOS and Ubuntu preferred) and on Windows Server 2016 & 2019.
* Experience of DNS management.
* Experience of provisioning, managing and troubleshooting services running in AWS.
* Experience of deploying Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Ansible, Packer or Terraform.
* Knowledge of at least one scripting language for quick prototyping of solutions.
* Hands on experience with physical networking hardware technologies such as firewalls, switches and routers.
Skills & experience of a Systems Administrator 24/7:
* 3+ years experience in a similar role
* A technical IT background
* Proven experience of cloud security and the associated risks
* Understanding and experience of security architecture
* Demonstrable experience of the ISO 27001 (ISMS) and Cyber Essentials frameworks
* Experience of performing security investigations using tools for email and IM recovery.
* Experience of working with policies in Microsoft Defender for Office 365, including Advanced Threat
* Protection policies
* Experience of working with third parties to evaluate and arrange penetration testing of ICT infrastructure and applications.
