SQL Application Support – 2nd Line – Ideal for strong 1st line wanting to take the next step in their career!
This is a great opportunity for an experienced SQL Support Analyst to work for an award winning software provider and build a long term progressive career.
You will be supporting clinical software providing vital support services to the customers. most of the issues will be considered 2nd line support.
This position is a customer facing role which provides 2nd line software support as part of the Service Delivery team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing incident triage, assessing and identifying risk levels on support requests, and providing investigation and analysis of technical incidents, to provide solutions quickly and efficiently. You will be working directly with customers, providing them with regular updates throughout the process. In addition you will also be involved new deployments and upgrades.
Essential Requirements for the SQL Server Support Analyst:
* Proven experience in a support service desk environment, preferably in an ITIL environment.
* good knowledge and experience of SQL server with the ability to write basic SQL database queries
* proven ability to trouble shoot and resolve technical problems in a creative and efficient manner.
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
* Ability to write technical documentation
* Good knowledge of MS Office applications
Nice to have's but not essential:
* Experience of working closely with development teams
* Advanced SQL such as stored procedures and schemas
* Jira and Confluence
* Testing
* iOS
* MS Azure
