If you are an experienced SQL DBA with excellent knowledge of SQL database engine and T-SQL this is a great opportunity! You will work on the development and optimisation of core bespoke databases; they are large critical transactional databases, you will use APi's and web technology and work in an Agile environment. The plan is to migrate customers to SQL Azure so any experience of SQL Azure would be great.
You will join a great supportive and talented team and be the go-to person for SQL database Knowledge. This role involves developing, maintaining, optimising, and troubleshooting of large NHS databases.
Key requirements for the SQL DBA:
* Excellent knowledge of SQL
* Proven experience or working on large transactional SQL databases
* Strong experience of T-SQL such as stored procedures, scripts, triggers etc
* Good skills in performance tuning
* Experience of data migration – they are moving from client premises to Azure
* Any previous experience of the NHS or healthcare would be very useful
