Office Depot has an exciting opportunity for a Solution Delivery Lead – Integration Development to join the growing team in our UK office in Milton Keynes. The role is a full time, permanent position offering an excellent salary and benefits package.

As our Solution Delivery Lead, you will act as the technical lead on enterprise-scale software development projects, managing all Business to Business integration activities.
Responsibilities of our Solution Delivery Lead include:
– Contributing to the design and specification of the core Integration Patterns and services
– Assuring the delivery of the integration artefacts to Office Depot
– Developing relationships with customers, internal and external engineering, product, programme/project and business teams
– Effectively articulating the key design principles for Integration to the immediate team, suppliers and senior management
– Ensuring the Integration Architecture and service support the Enterprise Architecture principles, standards and roadmap, including SOA principles and governance
– Promoting an agile and flexible approach to solution design delivery
– Optimising delivered IT solutions and improved information management business needs and innovative technology capabilities
– Overseeing initiation, coordination and execution of new business developments innovations
– Overseeing/contributing to the delivery of IT work packages in support of business and IT projects
– Integrating new strategies and technologies into policies and processes
– Influence over Capex and / or drive for Opex improvement of < € 500K
– Delivering system / project components to time, quality and expectation
Our ideal Solution Delivery Lead will also have the following skills and experience:
Essential
– Strong Java and Spring framework experience.
– Good technical design skills including OO design principles and design patterns
– Experience with Agile development methods
– Working knowledge of JSON, CSV, XPath, XSD and XSLT
– Good knowledge of web services REST and SOAP
– Kubernetes/Docker implementation experience
– The ability to adapt and learn new technologies on the job
– Strong customer focus and customer awareness
– Ability to evangelise good practices
Desirable
– Kafka
– Microservices event driven architecture
– Mule ESB
– IBM MQ
– IBM DataPower
– Extensive experience on any other integration platform
