Software Engineer
Location Milton Keynes (Office based 2-3 days per week, otherwise WFH)
Salary Range: £30,000 – £32,000
Job Description:
Our Clients Bespoke technology platforms are designed, developed and maintained by their dedicated in-house team. Working as part of the IT Department, the software engineering team are responsible for all system development of their market leading suite of applications.
Reporting directly to a Senior Software Engineer, the successful candidate will be expected to help liaise with the Business Analysis and UX teams to investigate, interpret and subsequently implement core improvements to the software, ensuring the applications continue to offer the best possible solutions to their customers.
The successful candidate will be hard working, engaging and out-going, with a proven ability to build relationships with a wide range of people, and will play an instrumental role in delivering our clients solution across a range of customers.
Responsibilities:
* Developing on Asp.Net Core Frameworks using C#
* Developing on a database first approach using MS SQL Server and Entity Framework
* Working closely with other members of your team
* Testing and quality control of your own and other developer’s code
* Documentation of code and SQL etc. to maintain good development practices
* Participate in daily Agile SCRUM
* Working with clients and collaborating with other staff members as and when required
* Planning and implementing future IT developments and undertaking small to large scale project work
* Assisting in software deployments and releases
* Willingness to provide occasional out of hours support
* Continue to stay up to date with the latest technological developments and continued development of personal skills
Essential Skills:
* Over 3 Years’ of professional experience
* Good verbaland written communication skills
* Must have experience with:
* Microsoft Visual Studio
* Microsoft SQL Server
* Microsoft C#
* Microsoft .Net 4.0 or above
* Javascript
* JQuery
* Ajax
* HTML
* CSS
* GIT or other similar, version control systems
* Less/SCSS
* Azure Devops
* Microsoft .Net Core
