Our client has a permanent vacancy for an experienced Software Development Engineer to assist with the development of new software products and support of existing software.

You will be working as part of a small, but highly effective team, to develop, test and deploy a queue

management platform. The platform will expose you to various areas of software engineering; Database design, communications and hardware interfacing to name a few.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in software development commercially.

• Full stack development (Mostly focusing on HTML/CSS/JavaScript/Python/SQL) with occasional

C# dev.

• Knowledge of software engineering best practices.

• Knowledge of software development life cycle.

• Experience in version control (GitHub currently).

• Programming skills in JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQL, Python (C# & C++ advantageous).

• Ability to debug/troubleshoot, test and document existing and new developments effectively.

• IT skills in assembly, installation, configuration, networks, IP, and communications.

• Ability to work in a Test driven environment.

• Ability to work in an agile environment.

• Python related skills:

o Django framework (V2.2/V3.1)

o SQL Alchemy (or a similar Python based ORM)

o WebSockets/Django Channels (advantageous)

General Web App front end skills:

o HTML/CSS

o JavaScript

o Use of templates and frameworks (such as Inspinia and JQuery)

• Excellent communication skills.
