Our Sigma SaaS platform delivers great energy management tools with a mission to support customers to reduce energy consumption, analyse bills for cost recovery and reduce emissions to support green initiatives and achieve net-zero ambitions.
We are looking for a talented application engineer to join our engineering team of 15, who is passionate about delivering high quality software. You will have previous experience in developing great business web platforms and be interested in machine learning, analytics and integration to expand our products to deliver great solutions for our customers. Software Developer Requirements:
You are experienced in building and maintaining business critical, scalable applications using Java and the latest DB technologies (at least 3 years’ development experience required)
You collaborate well with your team and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment to a high standard of quality
You have a desire to learn and understand how utilities and energy management industries work, to enable you to build game-changing solutions
You are a confident developer who loves what they do, with a good degree in a computer science or analytical subject
You have experience of most of our technology stack (see below) with specific experience in building business web applications, are comfortable with big data analytical processing and understand how to build secure systems
Software Developer Responsibilities:
Working within a team of skilled engineers across various disciplines (Analysis, Development, Testing and Operations) with a mixture of office and home-based working
Working in an agile scrum environment which adheres to scrum values, delivering significant change to our products
Having a high degree of responsibility for design, build and delivery of great new features and improvements that the team is expected to champion, support, and evolve
Enjoying a high degree of collaboration across the team, eager to improve everything that we do, with a keen eye for efficiency and quality
Helping shape the product strategy, roadmap, and technical direction
Willing to support others to achieve business goals, mentoring others when required
