Service Design & Transition Analyst
Location: Milton Keynes based (remote until further notice)
Contract length: 6 months initial
**This role will be in scope of IR35**
Job Purpose:
To manage the Service Design & Transition element of Trains Portfolio projects introducing new or changed Services into live operation and retiring redundant services.
Key Accountabilities:
1.Be the single point of contact for the project on matters regarding support.
2.Advise the project and support stakeholders of any deviations from technology and support strategy, standards and policies.
3.Translate the non-functional requirements into a practical support model.
4.Facilitate service workshops to identify demarcation of roles and responsibilities across all support teams (both internally and with external suppliers)
5.Construction service scenarios for service workshops
6.Align service requirements to the agreed Service Acceptance Criteria
7.Contribute to review of support agreements to ensure all aspects of the service are defined and included in contractual obligations.
8.Define Knowledge Transition plan and schedule Knowledge transition delivery
9.Chair meetings between the project and support stakeholders (internal and external) and provide regular progress updates to all support stakeholders.

10.Communicate risks and issues affecting the support organisation to the Project Manager and log them in the Network Rail risk register.
11.Contribute to the Early Life Support process, approach, entry and exit criterion.

Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Essential
*Proven experience in Service Management including Service Design & Service Transition
*This role is aligned to the ITIL framework, therefore ITIL v3 Foundation
*ITIL v3 qualified to Service Design & Transition Lifecycle/Capabilities (Intermediate Level) or equivalent experience
*Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience
*Excellent communicator across all levels
*Good understanding & experience of using service management tools
Desirable
*Demonstrates a good working knowledge of management structures and reporting procedure
*Understanding of risk management
*Formal Project and Programme Management qualifications such as APM, PRINCE2 and MSP or equivalent experience
