Senior .NET Developer

We are seeking an experienced, innovative and pro-active Senior .NET Developer to join our IT function at our head office in Chalfont St Peter.

Reporting directly into the Development Team Leader, you will work as part of a small team to enhance and support existing software, and work to develop and deliver new and integrated projects. You will be given your own projects which you will see through from the planning to the delivery stage, including documentation and high-level post-release support.

Responsibilities:

– Interpreting new application assignments, recommending technical strategies, and assisting in design and requirements for the project (software architecture)
– Taking ownership of technical requirements and development tasks with the ability to work with changing priorities/requirements.
– Carrying out hands-on application development
– Third line software support for in-house and off-the-shelf software
– Preparing and maintaining technical and development documentation
– Mentoring junior members of the team
– Generating test and development code branches, handle forks and merges and create final build packages
– Participating in high level meetings and engender the trust and confidence of both the business and IT stakeholders

Requirements:

– # / VB .NET – .Net 4.0+ / .Net Core
– ASP.NET – Web API / MVC / Webforms
– SQL Server (T-SQL / Stored Procedures)
– Entity Framework 6 / Entity Framework Core

You may also have experience in:

– HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JS Frameworks – Vue / Angular
– Containers / Kubernetes
– Websockets / SignalR
– Messaging / NServiceBus
– TFS/Git
– Telerik Controls
– SOLR
– Azure experience would be beneficial
– Exposure to scrum and agile methodologies would also be advantageous.

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum
