About the role:

As our Senior MI Developer, you will conduct requirement analysis to establish users needs and appropriate business intelligence (BI) provision and designing BI products, being responsible for the end to end production and delivery of BI products to internal and external users and clients. Including business layer, data services, reports, dashboards and providing enterprise-wide governance of and liaison with BI users.

Main responsibilities of our Senior MI Developer:

– Designing and developing data warehouse architecture and Business Intelligence (BI) products based on user requirements while adhering to company best practice, standards and established procedures

– Participating in technical projects, writing codes for specific tasks and developing specific objects

– Configuring and maintaining database objects and BI products

– Supporting BI users by troubleshooting and resolving non-routine issues

– Researching changes in industry standards to identify best practices

– Providing support and coaching on company standards and practices to less experienced developers

– Participating in department initiatives, identifying opportunities and making recommendations for improvement – Updating department documentation as needed

– Supporting interdepartmental relationships with users throughout the organisation, including senior management

– Researching, analysing and reviewing requirements to develop an appropriate BI solution to (non)routine issues/ inquiries

What we are looking for in our Senior MI Developer:

– Bachelor's Degree

– Relevant Experience or Degree in: Information Technology, Mathematics, or related field

– Minimum of 4years relevant experience

– Development and data warehouse design experience

– A seasoned experienced professional who is career-oriented

– An understanding of area of specialisation

– Ability to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways

– Ability to work on problems of diverse scope, where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors

– Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

– Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise

– Ability to lone work and receive little instruction on day-to-day work / general instructions on new assignments

– Computer literate with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Development Skills:

– Transact-SQL (T-SQL)

– SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

– SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)

– SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
