Our client, is a public distance Learning and Research University, and one of the biggest universities in the UK for undergraduate education.
They are looking to recruit an experienced Senior IT Service & Support Technician to join them from 1st March until 31st July 2021, working 37hrs a week on a rota basis, which will include Saturdays. This role is working from home and equipment will be supplied. The hourly rate is £15.16ph which equates to £29,176pa.
This role is part of the 2nd line support within the Service Desk. They help deliver the provision of services provided for circa 10,000 staff, Associate Lecturers, visitors and research students across several geographic locations as well as home workers.
This role would suit someone who has demonstrable experience in:-
Providing reactive technical support to resolve incidents and service requests, including analysis, investigation and resolution of hardware and software issues as applicable
Providing support for IT systems with a good technical understanding of computer hardware, software and other associated technologies.
Experience of supporting complex IT systems and software within an enterprise environment with a large amount of users
A proven understanding of enterprise service management toolsets
Essential strong oral and written communications skills and enjoy working as part of a team supporting your colleagues to adapt to change and collectively deliver a great service
