Our client, is a public distance Learning and Research University, and one of the biggest universities in the UK for undergraduate education.
They are looking to recruit a small team of experienced Senior IT Service & Support Technicians to join them asap until 31st October 2021, working 37hrs a week on a rota basis, which will include lates, Saturdays and Sundays (extra payments to be discussed). This role is working from home and equipment will be supplied.
The hourly rate is £15.16ph which equates to £29,176pa.
This role is part of the 1st and 2nd line support within the Service Desk. They help deliver the provision of IT services provided for Associate Lecturers who are currently home workers.
This role would suit someone who has demonstrable experience in:-
Providing reactive technical support to resolve incidents and service requests, including analysis, investigation and resolution of hardware and software issues as applicable.
Providing support for IT systems with a good technical understanding of computer hardware, software and other associated technologies.
You will need to use Active Directory, Office 365 (at user level not admin) also experience of troubleshoot bespoke packages, MFA and VPN ( at user level not as admin).
Experience of supporting complex IT systems and software within an enterprise environment with a large amount of users is ideal.
A proven understanding of enterprise service management toolsets.
Essential strong oral and written communications skills and enjoy working as part of a team supporting your colleagues to adapt to change and collectively deliver a great service.
