Viking have an exciting opportunity for a Senior B2B Integration Engineer to join our team in Milton Keynes. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive an excellent salary and benefits package.

As a Senior B2B Integration Engineer, you will create and maintain agile, reliable and cost-effective technology solutions as and when required, to business specification and aligned with Enterprise Architecture policies and guidelines. You will act as an Integration specialist and contribute to the integration Centre of Excellence. You'll be recognised as the Subject Matter Expert for Integration within the organisation, and will be responsible for the development, validation and governance of all integration solutions for Viking and its channels.

Your responsibilities as our Senior B2B Integration Engineer:

Contributing to the design and specification of the core Integration Patterns and services to be implemented by Viking

Assuring the delivery of the integration artefacts to Viking, ensuring they conform to the design principles, standards and guidelines

Developing relationships with customers, internal and external engineering, product, programme/project and business teams to gather requirements, engage in rapid-prototyping, and to conceive, create, and design world-class integration solutions

Applying expert level understanding of Integration trends

Effectively articulating the key design principles for Integration to the immediate team, suppliers and senior management

Ensuring the Integration Architecture and service support the Enterprise Architecture principles, standards and roadmap, including SOA principles and governance

Promoting an agile and flexible approach to Integration design delivery across both internal and external delivery teams

Optimising already delivered Integration solutions and improving information management through an understanding of changing business needs and innovative technology capabilities

Designing and delivering Integration solutions with intelligent reuse of existing applications, development/purchase of reusable applications and smart integration methods to drive harmonisation

Overseeing initiation, coordination and execution of new business developments innovations and liaising with other technology departments in order to review and coordinate developments necessary to integrate and connect with other IT systems, applications and environments

Integrating new strategies and technologies into policies and processes driving medium level of investment and risk

Contributing to the documentation of services and training material for these services

What we're looking for in our Senior B2B Integration Engineer:

A higher vocational degree in Computer Science or a related subject with 6 – 8 years of broad relevant experience or academic degree in Computer Science or a related subject, with a minimum of 4 – 6 years of broad relevant experience.

Experience with Agile delivery methods

Quality assurance testing experience

Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments for partner integrations

Experience of software AG products such as Webmethods Integration Server (on premise and cloud) Trading Networks, MWS, API Gateway • Adapters: Kafka ,sap ,JDBC adapter, MQ Adaptor

Integration concepts: Flat file handling, SOAP, REST, JSON, Avro, XML, and other messaging standards like RosettaNet, EDI standard edifact, ebXML tradacoms and Webmethods mapping concepts

Experience of DSP development and XLST development

Experience in Git and Continuous integration, unit testing and performance testing

Experience in eclipse IDE and Java

Cloud familiarity (Azure AWS)

Experience in microservices event-driven architecture

Knowledge of database, oracle, linux, maxdb

Knowledge of Webmethods security concepts , certificate handling, acl, use roles and groups

Experience with document type definition (DTD) and XML Schema development

Knowledge of Internet and B2B messaging protocols (File Transfer Protocol(FTP), Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), Simple Mail Transfer Protocol(SMTP), Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), AS1, AS2, AS3)

Experience of B2B Market places such as Tungsten, Ariba Oracle OSN , opentext, GXS

Experience of Punch-out and cxml and oci communication methods
