Reporting directly into the CEO and working closely with the Principle Developer, this positon will take responsibility for the leadership of the development team and the delivery of code. This is a hands off position and it’s not essential that you come from a coding background. It’s likely you are currently in a Scrum Master, Delivery Manager or Development Manager role and are seeking a new challenge where you can make a difference.

Your key responsibilities will focus around the day to day management of the agile team, you can therefore expect a varied role compromising of technical, strategic and managerial tasks. The architectural and heavy technical decisions will fall to the Principle Developer yet you are expected to play a role in understanding how this affects your team and what support, training and mentoring they will need.

The client are looking for somebody with proven experience leading agile teams, you may therefore come from a Project Management, Development Management or Lead Developer background. You will be a fantastic communicator and work very closely with the CEO to shape and drive the direction this software company are headed. Agile, Scrum and PM certifications are useful but not essential. From a cultural point of view the team are driven and ambitious yet have the reputation for investing in their staff and helping people grow. The team enjoy a collaborative approach to their work and meet in the office typically twice a week
