RPA Developer – Milton Keynes
This position will be available on either a Permanent or Fixed Term basis (12 months) – this will be discussed at interview stage.
The purpose of this role develop and deliver quality business process automation within the NICE RPA solution and based on stakeholder requirements.
The RPA Development Team will deliver Robotic Automations to the wider Inchcape business to support cost saving and business efficiencies. The RPA development resource will be responsible for working with key stakeholders and business units to build automations to agreed specs and requirements within the agreed RPA delivery framework.
As RPA is a new area within Inchcape the RPA Development Team will be required to work with the Project Team to support successful project delivery and completion, working within the standard Project Management framework, (and other standards) as defined by the Group IS standards, and alongside the various business units who will be consumers of the team outputs.
Main Responsibilities
* Responsible for development and delivery of automated processes to quality and agreed specs within the Inchcape RPA Framework, creating reusable knowledge assets for each automation project.
* Provide BAU support for deployed processes, including the creation of the necessary exception reporting to monitor automated process failures and trends. This will involve customer / stakeholder management, problem solving and prioritisation skills to work within agreed SLA’s.
* Monitor and maintain existing process automations to ensure automation exceptions are kept to a minimum.
* Work within a best practice and quality framework and ensure automations adhere to agreed procedures/standards. Including continual process documentation, improvement and the ability to flag and track future risks and issues effectively
* Work alongside the business SME’s to understand, assess, replay and deliver business process automations to agreed specs and meeting business requirements.
* Translate the business requests for automation into effective robotic process automations, including delivery of process improvements and efficiencies. A holistic view of departmental processes will be required to support efficient re-use of automation objects.
* Manage and deliver of stakeholder change requests, from inception to delivery, working within the RPA and IT CAB process frameworks.
* Support user acceptance testing and go live, ensuring robust sign-off processes are followed for automations built.
* Challenge current processes, drive change and proactively realise opportunities for improvement in the business.
* Support new starter training, knowledge sharing and related documentation.
* Support the Head of Development in identification and assessment of new automation opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate
* Graduate level education and/or relevant practical experience.
* Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
* Stakeholder and customer management at all levels.
* Technical understanding across a wide range of environments/networks.
* Experience of working in a support environment and the ability to handle multiple high-priority projects and meet deadlines.
* Basic level scripting experience – PowerShell or SQL preferable
* Experience of RPA tools, ideally NICE or UI Path would be an advantage, but is not a requirement. Training will be provided.
* Process and business analysis skills and experience preferable.
* Driving license valid for UK preferable
