As our Resource Planning and Development Manager, you will take ownership of the daily management and development of Level 1 and 2 members of the Resource Planning team. You will work closely with the TMS Bid team to support new contract opportunities within TMS. There will also be responsibilities to monitor the effective utilisation of the workforce, monitoring Scheduling performance, tracking holidays and providing support to the Forecasting Leads within the team.
Main responsibilities as our Resource Planning and Development Manager will require you to:
– Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture, setting clear goals and objectives, monitoring team performance, identifying training needs and providing support and coaching
– Facilitate team members to recognise their abilities and optimise their performance within the Resource and Planning team
– Listen to team feedback, providing support and recognition, recognising high performance along with development needs
– Work closely with the Lead Forecasters to establish a positive team environment which enables individuals to meet their personal goals
– Support the Bid team, requiring Commercial awareness and ideally knowledge of the Financial industry
– Work with challenging deadlines and multiple projects, identifying knowledge or information gaps and engaging the wider team
– Communicate with people to gain the most relevant knowledge and conversing with a range of stakeholders that will have varying levels of input
– Develop processes and structure within the team and mentoring team members in their day to day roles to maximise productivity
– Use collaborative and influencing skills to work confidently at all levels from Director to Agent, explaining complex information in an easy to understand manner
What we’re looking for in our Resource Planning and Development Manager:
– A minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience in the use of Management Information Technology
– Proven work experience of managing individuals
– In-depth knowledge of performance metrics
– Good PC skills, particularly MS Excel and knowledge of workforce management systems
– Experience of providing a Forecast and supporting the Scheduling process
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a team
