Our client, a leading provider of software solutions, seeks an experienced Project Manager to be responsible for planning, executing and closing of Product Implementation or IT related projects.

As Project Manager you will be accountable for the definition, documentation and satisfactory completion of allocated projects. Ensuring realistic project and quality plans are prepared and maintained and provides regular and accurate reports to stakeholders as appropriate. Identifying, assessing and managing risks to the success of the project. Providing effective leadership to the project team, and taking appropriate action where team performance deviates from agreed tolerances.

The Project Manager will also be responsible for the projects change control register and working closely with the sales team to help prospects to clarify their needs and requirements.

Other accountabilities include but not limited to: Stakeholder relationship management, ensuring Project Management and Resourcing tools are used effectively and leading workshops to both structure and aid the delivery of affective and defined outcomes.

Candidates will ideally have at least 10 years’ experience in the IT industry and a minimum of 5 years project management within a SDLC environment. Hold a qualification in a project management discipline and have experience managing projects covering infrastructure, software developments and/or shelf applications.

You will be familiar with project bid/project tendering process, business requirements determination, systems design, systems development processes, systems maintenance and support, client liaison activities, including conflict resolution and project management documentation including preparation of project charter, project plan, version release documents, and communication documents.

You should be comfortable working from the office as well as home and willing to travel to client sites as required (including overnight stays)
