The Company
Working for a national major construction company, offering a fantastic package and working conditions – this newly created role will be link between the wider business, senior management and the project teams.
The Role of Project Manager
Ideally Waterfall trained, with more of a focus on application delivery, business change and construction projects.
Managing and working with project resources to delivery projects
Change management through-out the project life-cycle for all changes and daily stand-ups if appropriate.
Benefits tracking to ensure the benefits are realised and the project is successful
Financial management, of all related project expenditure, hardware, software, capital and op-ex
Building key client relationships and managing stakeholders
Play a key role in the set-up and embedding of a new PMO office
Embedding PMO processes and documentation
Infrastructure and Application projects
All aspects of Project Management;
accountability for project delivery
planning,
scheduling,
coordinating,
managing all the risk aspects of the project
The Essentials for Project Manager
Able to deliver IT change projects and agile development software projects
Definition, scoping and planning of multi-disciplinary projects using waterfall,
Proven track record of project planning; producing the project plan
Exceptionally results driven and self-motivated individual as this is an autonomous and demanding role
Prince2 Waterfall
Knowledge of IT digital technologies and/or platforms to assist project delivery for example; web front-end, JavaScript, java, Big Data, Microsoft, data centres or networks
Pragmatic and personable
Significant previous experience in a Project Management role
Driving license
DESIRABLES
In addition, the following would be an advantage;
Educated to Degree level
Agile qualification; Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Agile Practitioner
Experience of Jira, HP-ALM, Microsoft Project, Visio, and all Office Tools
