Our renowned client is looking to recruit a Programme Manager on a 18 month fixed term contract, working on a remote basis with a monthly visit to the Milton Keynes Office.
The successful candidate will have previous experience establishing and running Programme / Portfolio Management Offices, have experience of business drivers for change and experience of senior-level stakeholder management and communication including Board and Senior Leadership-levels. You will ideally have worked on large complex technology and business led change initiatives and be confident working in a complex and challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure that the programme and project management policies and guidelines are fully adhered to within the Contract Change Programme.
• Own and provide centralised, standard and consistent programme office services such as:
o Lead on the design and implementation of the programme governance structure and ensure that the relevant processes are implemented successfully.
o Create and maintain standard processes, procedures and templates for all programme office services, consistent with the clients project and programme methodology and minimum standards, and ensure that these are understood and communicated to the programme and project management community.
o Assist in the production and maintenance of the programme strategy, delivery plan and a regular programme dashboard.
o Identify constraints within the programme and work to overcome them.
o Support resource scheduling and estimating by consolidation of standard, timely and accurate demand information.
o Provide programme and project costing and project accounting services in liaison with the Finance Business Service.
o Manage project and programme RAID logs, highlighting exception situations to programme and project managers as required.
• Manage programme office staff, ensuring that the team have the required skills and competencies to deliver high quality services to the programme and its stakeholders.
• Manage the Contract Change Programme change processes ensuring that Change Requests are compliant with the agreed procedures executed through the programme governance and that inputs are produced to high quality and within required timescales.
• Analyse and interpret a wide range of information and data on the health and status of activities with the programme and draw conclusions and recommendations to support decision making by the senior leadership team.
