Role – Platform Engineer – AWS / Linux Infrastructure

Location – Bucks/Beds area / Work from home

Salary – to c. 60K

We seek two people with a solid grounding in Infrastructure and Cloud to work in a small team depolying cloud based solutions to financial solutions. We are looking likely at one at 2nd line the other at 3rd line level

We skills around the following areas (we are not expecting all but some in this area)

Linux
AWS
Configuration tools – Terraform, Ansible
Web servers, email & DNS
Networking, Load Balancing and TLS
JEE Application ServersThe role would likely suit – Platform Engineer, AWS Engineer, Linux Engineer, Site Reliability Engineers (SRE), DevOps Engineers, Implementation Consultant, Technical Consultant

Stuff you might get involed with as part of the team

System installation, configuration and performance tuning
Design, develop and implement software-defined infrastructure
Design software deployment processes introducing automation
Infrastructure Architecture Design for High Availability and Security
Operating Systems, databases, Web/App Servers, networks and firewalls
Minimising operational run cost by use of modern deployment techniques
Building production runtime environments for handover to operational teamThe role itself will be working closely with clients gathering requirements and at a more senior level designing solutions.
