Business Relationship Manager – the opportunity
This is an unusual and interesting Business Development opportunity in a growing, highly ambitious, award-winning Software business. The role is all about identifying, engaging and nurturing partner relationships to produce profitable, mutually beneficial business opportunities.
The nature of this role means it would be a fantastic opportunity for someone with an IT channel background who wants to focus on initiating and building relationships rather than selling product, or it could equally suit someone with a relevant Business Development background coming from outside the industry, who has strong skills in B2B, relationship-led sales.
The role is based in Milton Keynes with a mix of office-based and home-working.
Business Relationship Manager – duties
* Generating and nurturing partnership opportunities with IT and other business services companies
* Understanding and developing the partnership value proposition
* Presenting and evangelising the company's offerings to a wide audience
* Develop long-term partner relationships to deliver revenue-earning opportunities
* Represent the company at business events: trade shows, networking events etc
* Contribute to business development and marketing strategies
* Attain and maintain a good understanding of the relevant technologies (e.g. Microsoft products)
Business Relationship Manager – requirements
* First class communication skills, comfortable engaging and networking with a wide range of stakeholders
* Highly credible and confident with the ability to articulate the company's story and offerings in a compelling way
* Able to identify, engage and develop new partners
* Adept at long-term relationship building to bring partnerships to profitable fruition
* Able to understand and keep up-to-date on concepts in the Technology sector
* Highly proactive, results-driven, organised and able to work autonomously
