Responsibilities:
The role will have the responsibility for planning and deploying components in swish fibre network’s outside plant (OSP) and data centre locations. This includes, commissioning active equipment at OSP, local link patching, connecting backhaul at both ends where applicable and place initial configurations for equipment to be accessible from the Swish IP core network. This role is based in the field (3 days) and also in London (2 days).
Plan and organise equipment installation project at street cabinet.
Follow cabinet installation process and document the deployment.
Perform and document all agreed acceptance tests for deployed street cabinet prior to handover. This includes power, backhaul connectivity, subscriber provisioning test, failover tests and etc.
Patch connections at datacentre environment
Provide support for fibre optical issues arise at street cabinet and data centre environment.
Manage installation components stock level (optics, patch leads, nuts, and bolts and etc)
Make contact with backhaul installation partners where required.
Support Network engineers and field installation engineers (subscriber installation) with connectivity related issues
Essential Requirements:
Knowledge and experience of FTTH/FTTP network architecture
Knowledge and experience of OSP cabinet deployment
Knowledge and experience working with DC power.
Knowledge and experience of fibre based backhaul connectivity.
Knowledge of console/device management connection methods (RS232,GUI and etc)
Knowledge of IP addressing and IP address configuration on equipment.
Knowledge of electrical components connectivity
Has a valid full UK Driving license
Able to think beyond common practice to resolve problems within the deployment.

Desirable Requirements:
Routing & Switching device configuration
Fibre component troubleshooting (Understand wavelengths, attenuation, ability to read output from optical power meter, OTDR, fibre cleaning and etc)
Any electrical certification
