Network Support Engineer, Slough – £25,000 – £35,000

We are working with an exciting Connectivity & Data services business who is hiring for an additional Network Support Engineer to be based out of their site in Iver (close to Slough). You will be work as part of a collaborative team of talented and passionate network specialists who service the clients customers. This will be a mix of remote support and being onsite with the customers.

As the Network Support Engineer, you will be:

Provide face-to-face, telephone and email support to their clients across the entire range of our services and solutions with a studio focus
Installation, configuration and on-going maintenance of their equipment including wireless access points, switches, routers and firewalls
Troubleshooting wired and wireless connectivity issues
Physically and remotely provision and decommission services
Lead small networking and connectivity projects and demonstrate the ability to lead on larger deployments over time.
Essential Experience:

A good understanding of Computer Networking – TCP/IP
Experience with networking devices and the concepts they exemplify such as Juniper, Brocade, HP, Dell, Cisco, MRV, Palo Alto,Fortinet, Xirrus.
An understanding of wireless networking
Knowledge of security mechanisms and components for both networking and computing (e.g., firewalls, antivirus, passwords)
Experience in System Administration of OSX or Linux
Ideally educated to degree level or relevant networking qualifications.
Understanding of the film production industry (desirable)
Experience diagnosing and rectifying cable faults using tools such as Cat5e testers, tone generators, and similar.
