Title: Network & Security Engineer

Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: up to £35,000

We are looking for a CCNA level Network engineer, with 5 years' experience supporting and installing networking equipment. Someone who has experience in not just Cisco, but Juniper, HP and other networking vendors would be highly desirable. Experience of IP SEC VPN, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, and Next Gen technology such as Cisco FirePOWER as well as general Windows Server and VMWare ESXi experience is also desirable.

The role is going to be a split between looking after the internal network, and working on projects for clients. The internal network is fairly simple with a few Cisco switches, Call Manager, WLAN controller, HA firewalls (ASA) and routers spread across two sites.

Client projects vary from simple deployments to more complex configuration, design and implementation projects. You would be working closely with the Network Pre-Sales Consultant who handles the high-level design, and you would be looking after the low level documentation. The organisation also provide Wi-Fi survey packages for clients; so they would expect you to be able perform these and produce the necessary heat maps etc.

While the role is mainly based in the Milton Keynes office there may be a degree of travel involved (including foreign travel) if projects require it, as well as evening and weekend work where necessary.
