Our market leading client is looking to secure the services of a Network Engineer – (DevNetOps) to join their team on a permanent basis.

As the Network Engineer (DevNetOps), you will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Client’s Active Network Automation and Tooling across technology lifecycle, ensuring solutions are delivered at pace in a standardised, supportable, and secure manner. With engineering and operational excellence paramount, the focus will be on production MACD (Move, Add, Change, Delete) configuration at telco scale, in a defect-free and efficient way.

The Network Engineer – DevNetOps role will cover many of the following areas of expertise:

* Interprets internal or external business requirements and develops solutions/best practices

* Creates and contributes to High-level and Low-level designs, test plans, and Method of Procedures

* Solves problems; takes a broad perspective to identify solutions

* Identifies applications of functional knowledge and existing methodologies to complex problems

Required knowledge, skills & experience of a Network Engineer – DevNetOps:

* Technical depth and breadth of engineering and automation, leveraging CI/CD pipelines

* Well-developed analytical and programming skills (2+ years)

* Ansible, Python, Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP

* Self-motivated, with the ability to work well independently as well as collaboratively, to deliver results

* Good understanding of WAN/ MAN network architectures, technologies, and protocols

* Experience of mixed vendor environments, platform and operational life cycle

* Attention to detail and continuous improvement/ continuous delivery (CI/CD)

* Well-developed problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Planning and project management – agile and waterfall

* Process orientated
