On behalf of our client based in Milton Keynes, Manpower are pleased to be recruiting for a Junior Application Specialist to join them on an ongoing temporary basis with the potential to lead to permanent employment. This is a hands-on role with an immediate start!
Hours of work: Monday- Friday, 9am – 5pm
£25k per annum
Role Purpose:
To produce a Configuration Solution & Supporting Documentation to specified timescales and quality.To build / change accordingly T&A database(s) in accordance with our clients standardisation and business requirements.
Ensure all configuration work and reported incidents are completed within the SLA timescales and that the system is configured in line with our Clients Standard rules. Configuration will work successfully so that staff are paid correctly as per the written requirements of the business.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
Manage any Change requests and reported Incidents, analyse the requirements to provide a workable solution.
Maintain TOPdesk for each reported incident and where necessary direct them to the SMART supplier for resolution.
Where incidents can be managed through the Central Team, agree the resolution withtheSnr Apps Specialist and all other interested parties including:
Testing the resolution against the specified requirements
Prepare the solution for demonstration (Conference Room Pilot) including scenarios.
Resolving issues and Bugs found
Produce clear, concise resolution documentation for end users
Provide Support during the Acceptance test
Manage incident resolution with the SMART supplier, ensuring end users are updated until resolution (where necessary ensuring site PO's are raised and supplied to SMART)
Be aware of how the SMART Solution is used and the business processes it supports.
Be aware of the benefits the product delivers and how these benefits are derived from our clients product.
Awareness of the full Product/User end to end process the SMART Solution supports
Knowledge of how different types of users make use of our clients product:
HR/Payroll/Supervisor/Super-user/Operational Managers
Ensure you are actively working on the tasks allocated to you by the T&A Manager.
Provide updates weekly to the T&A Manager on incident performance as well as fortnightly progress updates during Team Meetings
Take responsibility for the tasks allocated to you and ensure that you have the input and help required for you to complete the task.
Ensure you effectively manage time and tasks appropriately.
Ensure you are approaching the task in the right way to ensure both customer satisfaction and delivery timescales are achieved.
Demonstrate awareness of business constraints.
Be aware of the needs, objectives and goals of the business.
Be aware of the needs, objectives and goals of different areas and departments within the business.
Demonstrate awareness of our clients Contract Logistics business
Be aware of the customers needs, objectives and goals
Your skills and experience
Knowledge of requirements capture methods and how to interpret requirements
Working knowledge of Smart and or another T&A system or system set up/configuration would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given
Proven ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload whilst working on own initiative and demonstrate a flexible response to role requirements
Fluency in written and oral English
1-2 Years working in an HR/IT environment would be advantageous
Knowledge of requirements capture methods, and how to interpret requirements
Awareness of the Solution deployment and how it is used by the customer
Knowledge of automation principles using MS Products (Intermediate/Advanced Access / Excel) â€" how best to do repeated tasks to set up the solution
