Avanti Recruitment are currently working with an aerospace company based near Milton Keynes who are currently looking for a Java Developer due to rapid expansion.

The company are looking for a bright Mid-Level Java Developer who will be able to support a mixture of R&D and product development activities. You will have exposure to working across the full SDLC, you will be heavily involved in Designing, implementing and testing Java applications and systems software. You will be working on improving existing software and developing new features.

You will be working in a close knit team on a number of government funded UAV and Aerospace projects. You will actively helping with the development of java desktop applications and service orientated modules to support flight and simulation activities.

Skills required:

* Strong Java Knowledge

* Multithreading experience

* Object Oriented design knowledge

* Software Version control and configuration understanding

Desirable skills:

* Service architecture understanding

* Experience with Linux or Windows

* Avionics background

* Scrum/Agile

* Jira

You must also be able to pass security vetting to a minimum of BPSS level.

The salary on offer for this position is up to £50,000 + 25 days holiday + Pension.
