Our client is a market-leading manufacturer and due to continued growth, they are recruiting an experienced IT Technician to perform first-line IT support and assist colleagues with various IT projects and functions. The role is based in Milton Keynes and the salary is £18,000 – £22,000.
Job Specification
In this role you'll be helping users with routine tasks such as unlocking accounts, resetting passwords and general user IT queries as well as providing ongoing support to users and management when required. As well performing first-line IT support, you will also:
Escalate issues to Senior I.T technician/supervisor when required
Ensure that daily/monthly/annual back-ups are completed successfully
Assist with monitoring of Microsoft and other applications, improving them constantly
Assist with earmarked projects
Training of new members of staff when required and assisting them in using the use of approved software
Assist colleagues in the use of software and printers to enable them to complete tasks in a more efficient manner
Assist the finance staff in various administration tasks when required
Assist with queries on the document server (INVU server)
Assist in the set-up, co-ordinating and maintenance of IT equipment
Assist in the maintenance of all logs in relation to company hardware, peripheral and software are maintained
Assist in the disposal of all redundant IT hardware through proper channels including updating the asset register in line with IT policies
Assist with the monitoring of systems
Assisting in adding, removing or maintenance of users’ access and privileges for the AS400, mail, windows, INVU and other IT systems where required Working hours for this role are 9.30am – 6pm, Monday to Friday with a 1-hour lunch break.
