We are currently working with a reputable, family-run SME who are going through an ambitious digital growth journey and are therefore seeking an IT Manager to join their team based in Stokenchurch.
As an IT Manager you will be key in ensuring that the security and operational elements of the selected technologies are at a world-class standard. You will also supervise the implementation and maintenance of the company’s digital needs whislt looking at ways of continuous improvement.
Key duties and responsibilities…
* Managing information technology and computer systems within agreed SLAs.
* Controlling and evaluating IT and electronic data operations.
* Managing IT suppliers and agreements.
* Project management of operational technology improvements.
* Setting up of new starters and the maintenance of security groups and permissions.
* Ensuring the company data and systems are adequately secured through all layers of the digital estate and user base.
* Coordinates IT support, training, and orientation for new technology users.
* Ensures secure, efficient, and effective technology and Internet access for users.
* Organises troubleshooting or repair when necessary for IT equipment.
* Oversees information security and maintains network and user security through hardware or software installation or through education.
* Maintains the IT budget for the organisation and monthly actuals tracking.
* Tracks inventory and status for hardware and software throughout the organisation.
* Manages and monitors SLAs and relationships with 3rd party technology vendors and suppliers.
* Advises about organisation’s IT equipment, networking, and connectivity needs and following approval purchases products, parts, and services as necessary.
* Develops emergency plans for equipment, power, or security failure to preserve technology and data.
* Researches and stays up-to-date regarding new IT equipment, software, and solutions.
* Attends trade exhibitions and workshops to keep abreast of new developments.
* Develop and manage best practice change management procedures.
* Management of cloud telephony solution.
* Management of Azure, terminal and virtual servers.
* Coordination of Emails and mailbox issues.
* Management of Microsoft Dynamics extensions, permissions, and other operational-related activities.
Requirements
Proven working experience as an IT Manager or relevant experience.
Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems.
Expertise in data centre management and data governance.
Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation.
Ability to manage personnel and external suppliers.
Microsoft Azure and other Microsoft technologies (Teams, OneDrive, Azure AD, O365, Authenticator, etc).
Microsoft certifications.
Experience with Computers and Networks, Management, Leadership, Budgets, Strategic Planning, Problem Solving, Supplier Management, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, Written and Verbal Communication, Interpersonal Communication, Teamwork, Attention to Detail, Working Under Pressure.
