IT Infrastructure Support Engineer – Windows Server, LAN
Wonderful opportunity for an IT Infrastructure Support Engineer to work in a fast paced, ever changing role in which you'll gain exposure to a wide array of technologies, both inhouse and with clients. The business operates in a recession proof sector and genuinely makes a positive difference to many peoples lives. You will contribute to the management, monitoring and maintenance of the technical systems and network infrastructure. This varied position will see you assist the internal help desk functions including field/onsite engineering and also assist in the business's digital transformation.

Role/Responsibilities
To support and manage information technology and computer systems, liaising with vendors and 3rd parties
To support and the manage network infrastructure, liaising with vendors, 3rd parties
To support and manage telephony, on-premise and cloud, liaising with vendors, 3rd parties and external support
To provide internal help desk services including field/onsite engineering
To prioritise and manage multiple open issues at one time using internal and 3rd party support portals
To monitor 3rd party support portals, reviewing case progression and SLAs for resolution, supporting and escalating when necessary
To monitor and control change management processes, additionally supporting Quality Assurance measures
To provide security monitoring of all systems including regular audits and checks, liaising with external assessors when appropriate
To support cyber incident response and remediation plans
To maintain information security controls, adhering to best practice, NCSC guidance, ISO standards
To administer Active Directory, group policy and security groups
To carry out/oversee kit builds, issues, returns and disposals
To carry out IT site surveys and fit-outs, including simple cabling/networking
To be responsible for user administration, including controlled on and off boarding of all users, and regular user audits
To support IT policy best practice, and implement across the organisation
