Role – IT Infrastructure & Security Manager

Location – Milton Keynes

Salary – Up To £45,000

Our client has an opportunity for an Infrastructure and information security manager to join their expert IT services team. This is a fantastic chance for a hands-on manager to get directly involved in developing projects and innovative solutions. Working with a team of infrastructure engineers, you will specifically manage security vulnerabilities, implementing, monitoring, and improving the threat and vulnerability management across the organisation

The key responsibilities are as follows –

* Manage the process of 2nd line support calls escalated within the service desk, interfacing with the Desktop Team manager where appropriate

* Line manage the team of infrastructure engineers

* Actively take a handson approach with 2nd line support calls, concluding these and chasing where necessary

* Lead specific projects within the infrastructure team (including specific information security targets)

* Lead on internal information security assurance processes including internal audits, penetration tests, annual surveillance visits and formal assessments

* Maintain the IT aspects of the business continuity plans and lead on disaster recovery exercises and rehearsals

* Manage external relationships with suppliers providing 3rd line external support contracts

The ideal candidate will have the following skills/experience –

* Technical skills across a variety of different infrastructure technologies

* A project or service managementbased qualification (ITIL Or Prince2) would be beneficial

* Higher level qualifications in IT, or technical certifications in IT security or Infrastructure would be beneficial

* Experience in writing reports, policies, and procedures with experience in carrying out periodic updates

* Experience in managing/mentoring a team within a technical/IT environment

* Experience working with/in a 2nd line support role or above would be beneficial
