IT Helpdesk Support Technician required by a reputable retailer based in Amersham. The IT Helpdesk Support Technician will be joining a Service Desk team of 3, supporting office, retail store, and warehouse staff daily. This is an exciting opportunity for a Helpdesk Support Technician with experience in a retail environment to respond, troubleshoot and resolve issues and queries that come into the service desk in a fun and busy environment.
Reporting to the Service Desk Manager, the IT Helpdesk Support Technician will have previous POS experience and will hole knowledge around building tills and configuring servers as well as being able to support Active Directory, Windows environments and servers and Office 365 as well as MS Teams. They will have exceptional communication skills both written and verbal and be able to help out staff members with various levels of seniority. The Helpdesk Support Technician will also hold some hands-on skills around desk moves and installations.

Relevant Skills and Experience:
– Confident, personable and positive, with an eagerness to help and learn (equally as important as technical ability)
– Prior experience supporting helpdesk within a retail and ITIL environment would be extremely beneficial
– Experience in the support of POS technologies such as building tills and server configuration would be good
– Adept in the support of Active Directory, Windows, Office 365 and MS Teams
– Prior hands-on experience within office moves and installations
– Ability to prioritise tasks with excellent time management
– Experienced in the support of Mitel telephony systems would also be useful
