IT Help desk Engineer – Product Manufacturer – Hybrid Working – Circa £25K

As a IT Help desk Engineer you will be responsible for the technical support to the business across all sites and maintain the computer systems and networks within the organisation. The post holder will work to help, support and resolve colleague's issues with all technical and application matters.

Responsibility

Help desk management.
Basic Application support on Microsoft Office suite (including Excel, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint etc), Adobe Suite and in house ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.
Hardware support and build/replace machine components.
Install, configure, and maintain desktop PCs, laptops and Macs including processing Windows updates, file shares and permissions.
Update and maintain the users and access on the VoIP phone system. and ensure IT records and documentation is kept up to date.
Monitor and report on splunk (network monitoring tool).
Configure and support corporate devices both mobiles and tablets.
Create and maintain detailed system documentation for processes and procedures.
New user setup and terminations including maintenance of AD accounts and email.
The above list of tasks is not exhaustive, and the post holder may be required to take on additional tasks as and when required by the company.

Knowledge

Good knowledge of desktop, laptop & Mac hardware troubleshooting
Knowledge of applications troubleshooting
Experience of performing remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
Some experience of SharePoint development/maintenance would be advantageous
Exposure to AD, DHCP & DNS
Basic level Microsoft Office
