Our client is a leading automotive designer and manufacturer for many of the world's iconic vehicle brands. They currently have a vacancy for an IT Help Desk / Desktop Support (Tier 1) to join their team.
You will be responsible for installing and supporting computer hardware, software and networks and users at all company sites, in a professional and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities as IT Help Desk / Desktop Support (Tier 1) will be:
• Provide user support and training for all applications. Escalate support issues as appropriate and work with end users in the resolution of issues
• Provide a quality "help desk" service to ensure that all end user queries and problems are logged and resolved in a timely manner
• Support and maintain local IT infrastructure including: Virtual environment, devices and software, local servers, LAN, WAN, WIFI, RF scanning solutions and printers
• Adhere to all IT policies
• Order hardware, software and peripherals in accordance with IT policy
• Install new hardware and/or software ensuring that software licensing laws are adhered to
• Deliver projects components and/or full lifecycle projects as required
• Perform backups of key systems, as defined by IT policy
• Maintain and setup new Active Directory accounts. Disable "leaver accounts" in accordance with IT policy
• Maintain user email accounts
• Maintain, troubleshoot, replace all printers
• Manage backups and restores
• Administration tasks on the phone system – OneNet
• Customer portal administration
Experience required:
• Windows server 2008R2 to present
• Windows XP to Windows 10
• Backup Exec / Veeam Backup
• Terminal Server / Remote Desktop
• Office 365
• Networking technology including Unmanaged Switches, Managed L3 Switches, Routers etc
