Infrastructure Projects Specialist / Platform Services Engineer

Based in Milton Keynes. Please note we are following current public guidelines therefore this role will be home based temporarily.

With a goal of creating digital products that are the perfect combination of customer-centricity and great technology we are now looking to recruit Platform Services Engineers to work in our eCommerce Platform team.

This role of a Platform Services Engineer is part of the DPG Platform Services Team, responsible for the on-going development and management of DPG IT infrastructure. Supporting all sites, including the online eCommerce platform. The role holder will use their technical knowledge and management skills to help design and implement new solutions – ensuring continuous improvement to both the on-premise Infrastructure and new cloud Infrastructure.

We're looking for people who are passionate about technology and will focus on improving platform stability and increasing the pace of change.

As a Platform Services Engineer, you will have good knowledge of the following:

Proven ability to understand support and business needs and translate these to a working solution.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure
Be at ease within a DevOps culture and have experience of working in multi-functional teams
Good understanding of ITIL,
Experience / understanding of cloud technologies
Strong understanding of Powershell
Infrastructure-as-code and experience with CI/CD Pipelines
Relevant Industry recognized certification or demonstrable industry experienceOur Platform Services Engineer will also have strong knowledge with at least 4 of the following technologies;

Microsoft Windows Server 2016, Microsoft SCCM / SCOM Current Branch, Cisco/Meraki Networking

/ Azure DevOps, Office 365 / Exchange Online, Akamai, Splunk.
