A Software Implementation/Second Line Support Engineer is expected to undertake technical installation, configuration, trouble-shooting and fault resolution activities across all products.
You will be working closely with consultants, other engineers and product developers. A good understanding of Microsoft Server Infrastructure, networks, IIS, and Microsoft SQL Server (with good syntax knowledge) is essential to a successful implementation of the product.
A strong candidate will also have Linux/Ubuntu knowledge/experience.
The role is home based.
Candidates must have good communication skills in both team and client settings.
Key Responsibilities
Develop technical competence across all products
System installation and configuration and customisation
Taking ownership of and completing 2nd line support tasks
Clearly articulating software development requirements or defects to product developers
Regression testing product updates
Writing documentation and maintaining documentation.
Desirable Knowledge
Intermediate to Advanced SQL (Microsoft SQL Server)
Experience of server process automation; ideally with Powershell
Microsoft IIS
Windows Server administration
Virtualization (VMWare/Hyper-V)
Database Administration (Microsoft SQL Server)
Ubuntu Linux
