Graduate Software Developer
Location: Milton Keynes (hybrid working)
Salary: £24k + profit share, contributory pension, medical benefits, life assurance & flexible holiday.

The Role:
* Hybrid – remote and office-based working, within a team of skilled engineers across various disciplines (Analysis, Development, Testing and Operations)
* Working in an agile scrum environment which adheres to scrum values, delivering significant change to our products
* Directly involved in design, build and delivery of great new features and improvements that the team is expected to champion, support, and evolve
* High degree of collaboration across the team and eager to improve on everything that we do, with a keen eye for efficiency and quality
* Languages: Java, SQL
* Frameworks/Platforms: Spring (Boot, Cloud, Web), Hibernate, Hazelcast, Camel, Tomcat, Docker, Kubernetes, Karaf, Artemis/RabbitMQ
* Architectures: Microservices, Serverless, Event-driven, Workflow, Web Services, ETL
* Web: Vaadin, GWT, SenchaGXT, Javascript
* Dev Lifecyle: Maven, GIT, Artifactory, BitBucket, Jira Cloud, Zephyr
* Data: MySQL, Vertica (Column Store), Oracle, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch/Lucene, Timeseries
* Command line: Linux shell/Bash
About You
* You are interested in learning to build and maintain business critical, scalable applications using Java and the latest DB technologies, on a mixture of cloud and on-prem platforms
* You collaborate well within a team and are motivated to learn new technologies and understand existing software platforms, so that you can help shape them in the future
* You have a desire to learn and understand how energy retail and energy management industries work, to help us build game changing solutions
* You have a good degree in a STEM subject
* You have some knowledge or interest in our tech stack
