Our client, a rapidly growing Software business based in Milton Keynes are looking for a Data Engineer. The role will be home based four days per week with one day per week in the office.

Day to day activities will involve working with in place Data Engineers on key client migrations, working with MSSQL and SSIS to build solutions for migrating clients from various bespoke sources into our main applications. Alongside this will be opportunities to help grow an internal Data Warehouse and be a key player in investigating and implementing new technologies.

Responsibilities:

* Creating and maintaining data migration projects for onboarding new clients.

* Implement data flows to connect operational systems for data and analytics in our BI systems.

* Assisting with the core design and architecture of our internal data platform.

* Supporting Data analysis across the business by developing and maintaining internal data sets.

Essential skills:

* At least 2 years in a similar role.

* Experience working with Microsoft server 2014 onwards.

* Advanced working SQL knowledge.

* Experience using SSIS for ETL.

* Strong analytical skills related to working with unstructured datasets.

* Strong project management and organisational skills.

* Ability to communicate clearly and precisely with key stakeholders within projects.

* Strong problem solving and organisation skills

* Experience in client transformation

* Experience in business development and able to evidence a high success track record

Desirable skills:

* An understanding of cloud technologies, preferably Azure.

* Experience using Azure Data factory.

* Basic understanding of Python.

* Experience with NoSQL
