We are recruiting for one of the worlds largest and leading companies in the financial sector based in Buckinghamshire who are looking for a Data Engineer for up and coming projects using the latest technologies.

The successful Data Engineer will have, but not be limited to, the following key responsibilities:

Lead the Data Acquisition and Store team with your expert technical knowledge.

*

Identify any faults or opportunities within the Data Ecosystem and imploy new solutions, leading the end to end delivery of them to enhance business outcome and achieve goals in relation to business ethos.

*

The successful Data engineer will be required to have constant interaction with stakeholders across varying projects. They will also need to ensure that they utilise their strong background and functional knowledge to communicate objectives, problems and solutions to senior stakeholders clearly.

Key Skills also needed include:

* Strong knowldege of backend programming languages, preferably Java or Scala.

* Great knowledge of Graph Databases, especially Batch and Streaming.

* Working knowledge of Big Data components and tools, preferably Hadoop. (Hive, Kafka, Spark & Impala are also acceptable)

* Experience working in agile programming environements and utilising testing patterns such as BDD, TDD.
