Data Engineer – Contract

Data Idols are working with a client in the public sector who are looking for a Junior – Mid level Data Engineer to help with scaling up the predictive learning analytics system.

THE ROLE

In the role as mentioned about you will be helping with the predictive learning analytics system and then moving this to a new data architecture. You will work as part of a team of developers and researchers.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Masters Degree in relevant field
Experience in programming Python, Java or R
Knowledge of MySQL
Knowledge and some experience in Machine Learning
Able to define solvable solutions to problems
Be able to work in a team and contribute to code review and team meetings to discuss the project
Able to document code and write technical reports
Experience designing Data Warehouses and ETL processes
